The National Audubon Society and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology are asking gardeners to keep an eye out for birds during these dates. They are looking for folks to record sightings at www.birdcount.org. The data collected will assist researchers understand the ways birds of all shapes and sizes are responding to global and local climate change along with other environmental pressures.
I have three feeders in our backyard along with a very attentive indoor kitty that would love to chase one or two of out fine feathered friends.
We have noticed definite feeding patterns and times when it comes to the size of the birds that frequent our feeders. What are you seeing at your location? I would love to know your results as well!
